About Us
The Sentinel Police Association Is home to the finest collection of officers across the country. We of the SPA are dedicated to improving not only the relationship between the community and the police department, but also the 52 neighborhoods we serve. We foster collaboration with groups that work to aid and uplift youth and children in the various communities. Our members work every day to provide fair and impartial police services as law enforcement officers. Since the Founding of the SPA in 1968, the members have continued to worked to be a voice in community, to show the light on unfair police practices, to be a “ SENTINEL.”
Our Mission
To address discriminatory practices, policies and produces in the Cincinnati Police Department.
To ensure equality in hiring, job assignment, promotions and discipline in the Cincinnati Police Department.
To work toward police reform in order to eliminate police brutality, bias-based policing, and police misconduct.
To ensure the delivery of quality police services to the citizens of Cincinnati, through respect, compassion, and understanding.
To bridge the gap between the Cincinnati Police Department and the citizens of Cincinnati through effective communication and education.
